About the role

We are currently seeking applications for a fresh career opportunity of a Specialist - Warehouse and Distribution .  This is based at Kurri Kurri, New South Wales, and is accountable for the management of warehouse and distribution activities.  You will ensure best practice in road and rail transportation to minimize safety and security risks, reduce lead time and lower cost in supply.

This is a fixed term role and will work closely with the Customer Service, Supply Chain, Transport Carriers and Manufacturing teams to be the trusted partner of choice for our customers.

Duties :-

• Execute the monthly plan working with Manufacturing teams, downstream businesses, and third parties dispatching requirements in a timely manner;

• Help coordinate market intelligence and knowledge to establish industry-leading practices for safety improvements;

• Work with the team to find improved efficiency and productivity of warehouse operations and processes;

• Ensure compliance with regulations for products delivered to customers;

• Overcome problems of stock visibility and traceability and avoid losses made through non-deliveries, incorrect deliveries and returns;

• Ensure operational and site SAP system processes are effectively utilised to maintain efficient and timely inventory movements;

• Working with suppliers and external warehouses to ensure a constant supply of raw materials;

• Provide information, instruction, training and supervision to Distribution and Warehouse personnel.

Skills and experience:-

• 2 years + demonstrated experience working in a similar role in transportation or warehouse operations;

• Tertiary qualifications in logistics, supply chain or relevant would be highly regarded; 

• Experience within a manufacturing environment;

• Working knowledge of regulations relating to transportation and warehouse operations;

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
