Monday to Friday - 38 hour working week.
Temp to Perm for successful candidates.
$53.44 p/hr + penalties
Located in Port Kembla
About the role:
WorkPac are looking for a reliable Workshop Mechanic with a solid commitment to working safely, driven to achieve and enjoy contributing to our team's success. Day to day duties include diagnosing and completing scheduled and emergency repairs on a variety of forklifts, sweepers and heavy vehicles onsite including auto electrical and hydraulic work. This is to ensure their operations can continue onsite 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
The hours:
Monday to Friday - 5am to 1:30pm, work the mornings and have the afternoon off!
Duties & responsibilities:
Assess, diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic and electrical issues on forklifts and other mobile plant including sweepers and HC trucks.
Work independently and unsupervised as required to meet maintenance goals/targets.
Demonstrated commitment to our goal of Zero Harm (for our people, our equipment and the environment)
Commitment to all site safety standards and requirements
Requirement for this role include:
Previous work history and experience as a mechanic repairing and maintaining various forklift brands and sizes (up to 56 tonne)
Cert III Plant Mechanic Trade Certification or similar
Current High Risk Forklift Licence (LF) preferable
Ability to perform call outs after hours on an ad hoc basis
