Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Area Sales Manager to join the team in Sydney. Reporting to the Regional Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales of new and used forklifts, as well as long-term hire contracts, within your assigned geographic territory. This role offers the opportunity to work with industry-leading equipment in a supportive team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and grow relationships with existing clients while actively seeking out new business opportunities.

  • Achieve or exceed sales targets by capturing profitable sales within your designated territory.

  • Update and maintain Komatsu's CRM system with opportunities and quotations regularly.

  • Ensure timely and professional delivery of machines to customers.

  • Prepare and present quotations, as well as demonstrate equipment to potential customers.

  • Conduct regular visits to major users and prospects within your territory.

  • Perform quarterly hire checks and report findings to the branch Hire Coordinator.

  • Conduct pre-delivery inspections and ensure machines are prepared according to customer instructions.

  • Provide operator training and instruction on equipment use and maintenance.

  • Complete customer handovers including all necessary documentation.

  • Attend sales meetings and provide regular reporting on sales activities.

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with key decision-makers both internally and externally.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in forklift sales, capital equipment, or fleet vehicles.

  • Strong sales, negotiation, and customer service skills.

  • Technical aptitude and ability to demonstrate product knowledge.

  • Proactive approach to business development with a customer-centric mindset.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite applications.

  • Forklift license is highly desirable.
