About our client

Involved in the production and distribution of steel products across various parts of the country, our client has seen an increase in workload resulting in a high demand for production workers. Their yard is based in Ormeau (Queensland) and they have multiple vacancies for workers on their afternoon shifts.

What you will be doing

As a member of the production crew you will be primarily responsible for the assembly of steel framing used for the various residential house builds. Your core duties will include:

• Lift, stack and carry steel materials

• Hand and power tool use

• Read and interpret basic plans

• Unload/load truck with steel products

• Sort finished frames into various parts of the yard

This is an ongoing position with an immediate start whereby the candidate with also have the opportunity to move into a full-time/permanent position with the company.

What you will need

• Ability to complete labour intensive tasks

• Have previous experience using a drill and grinder

• Driver's license + transport

• Willingness to be part of a tightly knit team

• Strong work ethic

• 2 x work-related references
