Bench Hand - Entry Level Mining

About the role:

We are looking for entry level candidates for Bench hand positions who have a good attitude and are mechanically minded with a Strong adherence to safety culture, policies and procedures to work at a local mine site in the Gunnedah Region. Our client stands at the forefront of the mining industry, delivering innovative blasting solutions worldwide.

What you will be doing:

• You will be required to work 12.5hr day shift 7:7 roster.

• Assist with the 'hands-on' delivery of explosive products down pre-drilled blast holes on bench;

• Assisting Shotfirers& Drillers on site

• Priming and loading blast holes

• Maintain records of drill holes

• Operating heavy machinery and equipment for mineral extraction, specializing in NTI bench operations.

• Assisting in drilling, blasting, and excavation activities, adhering strictly to established protocols and safety standards.

• Conducting regular maintenance and inspections on mining equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

What you need

• 1 yearsâ experience in a similar role or Mining experience would be beneficial however willing to consider candidates with demonstrated experience working in a manual labouring role

• Willing to obtain UHL through Worksafe at your own cost

• Willing to undertake a full Order 43 Medical, Drug & Alcohol Test

• Dangerous Goods Licence preferable, however not essential

• Provide 2 current workplace references
