About the Client
? The client is a well-established engineering company located in Paget, Mackay. Providing a complete engineering solution for the mining, construction, manufacturing, ports and sugar industries. Specializing in on-site maintenance, fabrication and design, the client also service SMEs with custom-built fabrications and engineering - for both mass-scale and one-off designs.

What you will be doing
Working on a Monday ??? Friday roster, reporting to the supervisor, the role of a workshop boilermaker is expected to work on their own as well as a part of a team. With the option to choose either Heavy Fabrication or Structural Steel work your key duties will include but not be limited to:
Structural steel:
??? Fabricate structural steel sections such as walkways and platforms.
??? Steelwork is supplied already processed.
??? Employee will need to read and understand fabrication drawings.
??? Employee will need to tick of Q/A documents when job is assembled and ready for welding.
??? This role requires tack welding only
Or
Heavy Fab:
Various work on heavy steel such as
??? Gouge, grind and weld on truck trays, digger buckets, dozer blades, fuel tanks, dragline buckets.
??? They will need to be competent to 9606 welding standards with either a cert or capable of getting certified
??? Measure and mark out location of liner plates
??? Able to run a bugo/geko
??? Able to read and understand a supplied scope of work.
??? Able to fill out heat sheets.
It is also a requirement to be able and willing to pass a drug and alcohol test and provide your own tools for the role.

What you will need:
As a boilermaker in town, it is essential that you have a current Drivers License and a Boilermaker Trade Certificate. You will have prior proven experience in either heavy fab or structural steel work. You will present a strong team focus, adhere to workpalace safety requirements and have excellent time management skills. You will also need to provide your own tools.
