Bookkeeper

  • Temporary to Permanent opportunity for the right candidate

About the Role:

WorkPac on behalf of our leading manufacturing client are seeking someone to be responsible for effective management of financial records, reporting and payroll functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Processing payments, invoices, income, and receipts and entering data into accounting software or databases then filing hard copies.

  • Preparing financial statements showing business income, cashflow forecasting and expenditure.

  • Paying vendor invoices and tracking bank account balances

  • Completing VAT returns, BAS filings and ATO reporting.

  • Complete end of month closing cycle including progress billing / claims submission, account reconciliations and financial reporting.

  • Verifying the accuracy of business accounts and alerting your manager of errors

  • Developing monthly financial statements including cash flow, profit and loss and balance sheets

  • Preparing employee wages

  • Managing employee expense claims

  • Helping the Accountant with administrative duties and preparing yearly accounts

  • Manage the implementation and transition from Axiapac to Sage 50

  • Backfill for the Administrative assistant role

  • New hire paperwork preparation

  • Demobbing folders

  • File management and shredding as needed

  • Provide efficient, friendly and professional service to all.

  • Take initiative to ensure that interactions with our customers (internal or external) are positive and productive.

  • Work together with trust so that colleagues and management meet the goals.

  • Treat customers and colleagues from all cultural groups with respect, sensitivity and transparency.

  • Ensure you are across customer expectations and timeframes

  • Update customer of any changes to agreed timeframes

Key Requirements:

  • Must have at least 2 years experience working with Sage 50

  • The successful applicant will aid in the transition to Sage 50 from Axiapac
