About the Role:

WorkPac are currently seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to join the team at Rio Tinto in Perth. This role will work within the Maintenance, Planning & Engineering (MP&E) team and will be responsible for the development of maintenance strategies of civil assets and providing civil engineering support to project, site and central teams ensuring associated risks are managed accordingly.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Specialist Civil/ Geotechnical Engineer, you will:

• Assist with the management of civil assets including tunnels, roads, retaining walls, foundations and drainage assets

• Complete risk assessments for civil assets

• Assist site personnel with investigation into issues associated with civil assets

• Complete designs of minor civil assets

• Develop scope of work documents for consultant engagement and manage consultants

• Review designs and reports produced by external consultants

About You:

• Tertiary Qualifications in Civil Engineering

• Prior experience in the investigation, design and construction of civil assets

• Competent in applying a risk-based approach to asset management

• Experience with the development of whole of life plans

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

• Ability to positively influence others

• Current Australian Drivers Licence

• Full Working Rights in Australia
