About our client

Our client specialises in utility construction and maintenance across South East Queensland, with their core business focus on water and sewerage infrastructure. They are currently seeking experienced Pipe Layers for ongoing water drainage/sewer/pipe projects across several of their civil construction and formwork projects around the Greater Brisbane area.

What you will be doing

As a valued member of the civil crew, you will be primarily responsible for pipe laying and civil labouring duties including:

• Install sewer, water and drainage pipes and fittings, conduits, culverts

• Install and remove temporary fencing, traffic barriers, safety fencing, silt fencing and other safety / environmental controls

• Dig ditches or trenches, backfill excavations, and compact and level earth to grade specifications -using picks, crowbars, shovels, engine powered compaction equipment

• Operate demolition equipment (saws, jackhammers, drills) to cut and break up concrete or pavement

• Construct concrete structures -manholes, chambers, pits, headwalls

What you will need

• Drivers Licence + reliable transport

• Construction White Card

• Proven experience in Civil Pipe Laying in particular on Water/Sewerage works

• Experienced and general understanding in civil works (Drainage/Formwork/Civil Construction)

• Available for immediate start and open to long term ongoing work

• Requirement to be physically fit and healthy to perform duties
