About our client

Our client specialises in utility construction and maintenance across South East Queensland, with their core business focus on water and sewerage infrastructure. They are currently seeking experienced Pipe Layers ongoing projects across North Brisbane, based out of their Geebung depot.

What you will be doing

As a valued member of the civil crew, you will be primarily responsible for pipe laying and civil labouring duties within Water/Sewerage/Drainage projects. These duties will include:

• Install sewer, water and drainage pipes and fittings, conduits, culverts

• Install and remove temporary fencing, traffic barriers, safety fencing, silt fencing and other safety / environmental controls

• Dig ditches or trenches, backfill excavations, and compact and level earth to grade specifications - using picks, crowbars, shovels, engine powered compaction equipment

• Operate demolition equipment (saws, jackhammers, drills) to cut and break up concrete or pavement

• Construct concrete structures - manholes, chambers, pits, headwalls

What you will need

• Drivers Licence + reliable transport

• Previous Pipe Laying experience or exposure

• Ability to complete labour intensive tasks

• Immunisations (Tetanus, Hep A & Hep B)
