About the Role:

WorkPac are seeking an experienced Data Analyst for the Rail division of Rio Tinto based in Perth working a Monday to Friday roster based in Perth with some adhoc site travel involved. The successful candidate will possess the ability to thrive in a team environment and can communicate complex ideas effectively. Working within the rail division at Rio Tinto we are looking for an individual who enjoys the challenge of the next problem and has the ability to communicate with people of different disciplines to develop and innovate organizational processes.

The team are a hard-working division that values the ability to work in a team and communicate effectively with others very highly.

Skills & Experience Required:

We are looking for an individual who possesses the ability to thrive in a team environment and can communicate complex ideas effectively. A person who enjoys the challenge of the next problem and has the drive to continue to learn and innovate organizational processes.

• A tertiary qualification in Engineering, Data / Computer Science, or any other relevant discipline.

• Preferably 2+ years experience in data wrangling, cleaning, processing, and publishing analytical reports

• Python (Pandas, NumPy, matplotlib, plotly)

• SQL

• PostgreSQL

• Microsoft PowerPoint

• Microsoft Excel

A foundational and demonstratable understanding of:

Mathematics and statistics

Microsoft PowerBI / DAX

Understandings of the following would be a huge plus:

R / Rstudio

API's

JSON

Power Apps

VBA
