E&I Engineer Professional

About the Role:

WorkPac are currently seeking an experienced WC Engineer for a casual initial 6-month duration, with our leading Mining client. This role will you provide engineering services and governance that will help to ensure safe and sustained operation of the plant within the site and legislated standards, reporting and engagement to ensure continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead improvement, support and review E&I site compliance with relevant legislation and Australian Standard. Provide guidance, expertise and direction in the implementation of recommendations.

  • Work in collaboration with site and engineering discipline to identify improvement opportunities within compliance systems and processes by gathering stakeholder feedback to provide consistent engineering support for sustainable solutions.

  • Support planning and development of Safe Work Standards and Engineering Standard Specifications including site stakeholder engagement, development of updates and improvements and communications and support of change implementation.

  • Contribute to proactive HSE measures through HSE shares, hazard study and construction risk assessments.

  • Investigate and troubleshoot electrical equipment failures and support electrical incident investigations.

  • Provide regular reporting on current state of site compliance from SAP and PowerBI, with a view to continually improving site performance on statutory and safety measures and planning future improvements.

Key Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualified Electrical/Instrumentation Engineer.

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in similar responsibilities within the heavy industry, ideally material handling systems.

  • Experience within Conveyors associated E&I instruments, iMAC monitoring and protection system, PLC and VSD is highly regarded.

  • Competencies for working with electrical equipment for hazardous areas (EEHA)

  • Safety first mindset.

  • Excellent communication and efficient time management.

  • Pro-active, goal oriented with excellent attention to detail.

  • Ability to work well in team and individually.
