About the Role:
WorkPac are seeking a HR Recruitment officer for a Local Council. Our client is a national group of companies engaged in engineering design, construction and land development for clients and partners in the urban development, transport infrastructure and resources. The Company has a strong commitment to Health and Safety, which enables to deliver a larger-scale of multi-disciplinary projects all over Mackay.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Support the recruitment process adhering to Councils recruitment and selection policy
Management of employee records in line with privacy, confidentiality and records management policy
Induction and onboarding of new employees
Support and administer training and development programs
Provide support to MRC employees in accessing Councils online training and self-education programs
Support employee appraisal and performance leadership processes
Prepare data, trends, analysis and reports to support Workforce Planning and Human Resource strategy
Coordination of exit interview processes
Other responsibilities as delegated by Management within the scope of this position
Skills and Experience:
No formal qualifications required
Proven Administration experience
Proven experience providing Administration Support within a Human Resources environment
Strong communication and organisation skills
High Attention to Detail
Proficient in MS Office Suite
Proven experience in providing secretarial support requiring the exercise of sound judgement, initiative, confidentiality and sensitivity in the performance of work including the ability to draft standard correspondence
Current Australian 'C' class driver licence
Knowledge of computerised human resources information systems (e.g. CHRIS21) (Desirable)
Demonstrated experience working with Local Government (Desirable)
Completion of an appropriate diploma/certificate in Business Administration or related field without formal experience (Desirable)
Developing knowledge of Councils functions, policies and activities (Desirable)
Knowledge of Councils records and information systems (Desirable)
Understanding of Councils Enterprise Risk Management Policy and Framework objectives as they impact the position (Desirable)
Must be either an Australian Citizen or a holder of an Australian permanent residency visa to be eligible to apply for this position
