Position: Field Officer
Location: Karratha, WA
Salary: $38 per hour (Flat Rate)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm
We're seeking a dedicated Field Officer to join our team in Karratha. If you are passionate about making a difference in biosecurity and natural disaster emergencies, this is an opportunity you won't want to miss!
As a Field Officer, your primary responsibility will be conducting essential field activities in biosecurity and natural disaster emergencies. These activities may include surveillance, destruction, disposal, decontamination, vaccination, and vector control. In smaller incidents, you may be assigned more than one of these activities, depending on the size and complexity of the incident.
Complete tasks safely, including maintaining appropriate records and taking photos when necessary.
Communicate information on task progress, resource status, significant changes, emerging risks, near misses, or injuries.
Ensure all animals receive the required veterinary treatment.
Maintain biosecurity and animal welfare.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively both in a team and independently.
Experience in operating in accordance with organizational WHS (Work Health and Safety) systems.
Strong communication skills, both oral and written, to effectively convey information and advice.
Ability to understand and comply with instructions, procedures, and workplace systems.
National Police Clearance (valid within the last 6 months)
Certified proof of working rights within Australia
