About the Role

In partnership with our leading government client, WorkPac are currently seeking an experienced Finance Manager based within Port Hedland to manage the financial services team to deliver a customer focused, efficient and effective financial services function for the organisation.

With housing, relocation assistance, utilities assistance, six weeks annual leave plus 17.5% leave loading, free gym membership, pool access and vehicle provided this is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Financial Manager seeking a sea change.

Responsibilities will Include:

• Financial and Management Reporting

• Assisting with the development and review of integrated planning and reporting elements including long term financial plans and asset management plans

• Preparation and auditing of the Town's financial statements

• Preparation of annual budgets, budget reviews, rating strategy and modelling within legislated deadlines

• Efficient operations of accounts payable, customer invoicing and revenue collection functions

Skills and Experience

• Degree level qualification in Accounting or related discipline

• Comprehensive knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards

• Sound understanding of GST, GBT and other taxation legislation

• Local government or large corporate financial management experience

• Demonstrated experience in management and leadership of teams
