About the Role:

WorkPac are currently seeking expressions of interest Geologists, Exploration Geologists, Mine Geologist & Hydrogeologist for our client Rio Tinto across a variety of their Iron Ore mining operations, Sea-Salt mining operation & Copper Mineral Resources. These positions are based in various locations across the city of Perth, the Hamersley & Paterson regions of WA.

Key Responsibilities mayinclude:

• Geological logging of drill core and RC chips/ Geotechnical logging of drill core/ installation and aquifer testing of water supply, dewatering, reinjection and groundwater monitoring infrastructure.

• Geological database management/ Daily collection, entry and interpretation of hydrogeological data

• Analysis, QA/QC, validation, integration and interpretation of geological datasets

• Liaising with team members and stakeholders on priorities

• Leadership in promoting a safe and environmentally responsible working environment

• Generating value enhancement initiatives for budget optimisation

Skills and Experience Required:

• A degree in geology or related field / Bachelor's Degree in a relevant Hydrogeology or Geoscience field

• Excellent communication / time management skills and ability to work within a dynamic team environment

• Driver's licence- C Class WA unrestricted

• Have the ability to work independently

• Have the ability to pass a full Pre-Employment Medical and Drug & Alcohol Screen

• Must hold rights to work in Australia
