About the Role:

WorkPac are currently seeking a GIS Analyst to join our Client Rio Tinto, based in Perth. This role will be supporting Rio Tintoâs State Agreement and Approvals department. The successful candidate will work a Monday â Friday roster for an initial 12 month duration, potential to extend. 

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Capturing, processing, storing and analysing vector and raster data.

• Improving the efficiency of data processing.

• Problem solving and data interrogation.

• Liaising with customers to achieve value adding outcomes.

 

Skills & Experience Required:

• 2+ yearsâ experience in a similar role.

• Tertiary-level qualifications in GIS or related discipline.

• Experience with ESRI ArcGIS Pro software.

• Experience with ETCL software (FME).

• Proactive approach to problem solving.

• Exposure to mining and exploration, with a focus on environmental approval.

• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively.

• Flexible and adaptive approach to fluctuating workloads, priorities and supporting other team members.
