About the Role:

WorkPac are seeking a H&S Officer to join our leading Construction and Mining Client for a casual 3 week position, completing end July, 2023. This position will be based on site in Newman/ Mt Whaleback (FIFO).

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Understanding legal and other requirements related to health safety and Environment

• Deep knowledge of HSE standards within the mining industry

• Hazard identification

• Evaluation of health and human factors, methods for exposure monitoring and assessment of occupational health and safety and environmental risks, human behaviour, person-to-person, and person-to-machine interactions

• Conducting risk assessments (including determining controls based on hierarchy of controls, and risk communication.

• Monitor effective applications of incident (including accident and work-related illnesses) investigations and evaluations (i.e. root cause analysis), and methods for monitoring and reporting HSE-related performance Review of Safety in Design

Skills and Experience:

• Tertiary Qualification in HSE Space or Equivalent.

• Prior BHP Site Inductions/Exposure.
