INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS ADVISOR
About the Role:
WorkPac on behalf of our client a global leader in the engineering and construction of major projects for the energy and
infrastructure sectors, both offshore and onshore are seeking a versatile and enthusiastic Industrial Relations Advisor to join our Company in Western Australia. We are rapidly expanding our activities in Perth team in Australia and will need your interest and passion in supporting the E&IR Manager to meet business needs.
The position will initially be a 12-month contract with options to extend. The role will be based at
our head office in West Perth with easy access to public transport.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide the E&IR Manager with legislative updates;
Liaise with Subcontractors with RoE permits;
Conduct research into ongoing union activity and social media campaigns;
Support E&IR Manager in managing subcontractors during the campaigns;
Support E&IR Manager in managing any disputes that may arise during the campaigns;
Manage the risk register and periodic reviews of the I&ERMP;
Manage IR administration; and
Afterhours emergencies on a rotational basis with E&IR Manager.
Key Requirements:
Professional Qualifications
Formal qualification in Industrial Relations;
Solid and demonstrated experience in the maritime and offshore construction industry;
Strong track record of union management;
Demonstrated experience in handling and resolving disputes; and
Experience in change management.
