About the Role:

WorkPac are currently seeking a Senior IT Developer based in Perth for an immediate start. This position will hold a Monday to Friday roster, 8hr days and is 6 months in duration with flexible work arrangements and competitive rates available for the successful applicant. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will provide embedded expertise on our Client???s operational platform roadmap which includes applications across the entire mining value chain. This includes applications that manage planning, material tracking, samples, equipment time usage, processing and reconciliation. The roadmap involves taking our applications to the cloud through redesign and refactoring using cloud native features.

Key Responsibilities will include

• Assist in the design and development of scalable applications and infrastructure on cloud compute and storage platforms

• Providing input to the design and architecture of the applications

Skills & Experience Required:

• At Least 3-5 years of Cloud Application DevOps experience

• Demonstrable experience with AWS environments and services

• Proven hands-on with serverless technologies (Lambda)

• NoSQL experience, preferably DynamoDB or MongoDB

• Experience with queuing, streaming and notification tech (Kinesis, SQS, Kafka, etc.)

• Experience with API services (API Gateway, Kong, Apigee)

• Demonstrable experience with building data intensive applications

• Demonstratable agile product development

• A good opinion of a ???well architected?? application

• Strong understanding of security best-practices

• JIRA experience

• Good understand of microservices principles and frameworks
