About the Client:

As part of a collaborative and supportive team, you'll play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing fixed and mobile plant equipment.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Carry out efficient repairs: Execute timely and effective repairs on fixed and mobile plant equipment

• Inspect and test machinery: Conduct thorough visual inspections and testing of machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance.

• Collaborate with the team: Liaise with quarry workers and SSE (Site Safety and Environment) to prioritize work, respond to breakdown calls, and coordinate daily tasks effectively.

• Set up and operate machine tools such as lathe, grinder, drill, and milling machines for repairing or fabricating machine parts.

• Conduct regular maintenance operations as assigned, solving operational problems and organizing work efficiently

What You Will Need:

Skills

• Demonstrated competency in plant machinery repairs, emphasizing experience in the Quarry industry.

• Strong organizational, time management, and analytical skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, coupled with a flexible and innovative approach to work.

Experience

• Comprehensive understanding of plant maintenance and repair, with proficiency in plant technology.

• Desirable working knowledge of the concrete, quarry, and construction industry.

Qualifications

• Minimum trade certificate as a mechanical fitter.

• Forklift licence

• Experience in a similar role

• Must be able to attend a PEM
