Installing and testing new system components on existing Locomotives

• Casual ongoing role with the potential to go permanent

• 38 hours per week - day shift

• $60.00per hour flat rate

  About the Role

  WorkPac are seeking a suitably experienced and motivated Mechanical Fitter to join our Clients team on a casual basis based in the Sarina area..!

  You will be a part of a high performing team, as a Locomotive Fitter at the Jilalan Maintenance Facility with opportunities for personal development and growth.

  As an experienced Mechanical Fitter, you can be from any background as long as you are reliable, safety conscious, punctual and physically fit.

  Duties and Responsibilities

• Installing and testing new system components on existing Locomotives

• Ensure all work is performed in accordance to supplied engineering guidelines and criteria

• Demonstrate adherence to planned work schedules relating to the asset rebuild, the overhaul program and the required quality output

• Participate in and contribute to a diverse workplace culture, creating an inclusive environment for a continued high performance team

  
  Skills and Experience

• Mechanical Fitting Trade - Certificate III in Engineering

• Substantial & demonstrated skills in working in a collaborative, highly skilled work environment

• Sound level of skills in oral, written and interpersonal communication

• Other trade related tickets will be advantageous

• Current Drivers licence
