About the Role:

This is an opportunity to work for Australia's largest manufacturer of underwater propulsion systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage apprentices and other workers to make sure they are on task.

• Manage workload so that jobs are done on time.

• Create drawing packets based off of purchase orders so that workers can follow drawings to produce correct parts.

• Assist in quoting for potential jobs.

• Identify parts on vessels and match to a pattern for reproduction.

• Talk with customers, help with customer enquiries, make changes to current parts based off of customer feedback.

• Talk with machine maintenance providers, identify issues with machines and schedule repairs/get quotes for repairs.

• Design parts prior to machining for customer approval.

• First aid officer, assist with any first aid on site, write up incident reports and file into the system.

• Forklift operator

Key Requirements:

• Certificate III in Mechanical Engineering

• Experience in Marine Manufacturing

• Experience managing a team
