About The Role

WorkPac are seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer to join Rio Tinto Dampier Salt in Perth, assisting with project front-end loading, including scoping, pre-mobilisation and fabrication monitoring.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist with front-end loading including running tenders, assessing pre-mobilisation activities and monitoring fabrication.

• Provide project engineering support including TQs, variations and schedules.

• Provide technical and project management oversight throughout project cycle.

Skills & Experience

• Engineering degree in mechanical engineering.

• Background in brownfield projects, blast and paint remediation.

• Understanding of Rio Tinto purchasing requirements and SAP will be highly regarded.

• Strong decision-making capability along with ability to work autonomously.

• Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.

• Ability to lead, influence and motivate.

• Current WA C Class Driverâs license minimum.
