About the Role

WorkPac are currently seeking an experienced Mining Engineer to join our mining client for a permanent, full-time role. The successful candidate will be required to ensure sustainable production from the clients site operation, through the planning and execution of all mining activities.

Duties include (but not limited to):

• Contribute to ensuring the health and safety of all personnel in the Mining Department and who work in the mine.

• Support the management of a comprehensive suite of fit-for-purpose systems in place to ensure they are operating properly in the Mining Department.

• Ensure the Mining Department meets its environmental, community and statutory obligations and is considered a welcome guest in host communities.

• Contribute to a constructive and creative environment for business improvement within the Mining Department.

• Undertake mine planning and scheduling processes, through the provision of technical capacity in various areas including mine planning, drill & blast, backfill, ventilation and scheduling.

• Monitor and track performance against mine plans and schedules.

• Assist with the annual budget process.

• Undertake timely and accurate reporting of Mining Department activity.

Skills and Experience

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering or similar

• 2+ years??? experience working in a similar role

• WA Drivers License

• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team

• Mining industry experience

• Ability to obtain National Police Clearance
