About the Role

Our client is currently seeking experienced labourers for gardening and landscape work around Port Hedland. This position is for approx. 2 months work with the potential for on-going work.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist Leading Hand in delivering operational maintenance programs for Parks & Gardens operations

• Litter and rubbish collection, graffiti removal and sanitation operations.

• Operate small plant equipment including but not limited to ride on mower, whipper snipper, hedge trimmers, blowers and edgers

• Other duties and responsibilities as directed within the skill and abilities of the individual

Desirable Experience:

• Previous local government experience

• Broad understanding of the role of horticultural, turf management and irrigation standards and techniques

• Previous experience operating horticultural, plant/equipment including but not limited to bobcats and excavators.

• Previous experience operating large plant equipment including but not limited to tractor and various horticultural related attachments

• Working knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Regulations

• Hold current Australian Chemcert licence

• Basic Worksite Traffic Management and Traffic Control qualification

• Current First Aid qualification

• MR unrestrictedâ class driverâs licence

Position Requirments:

• C or MR class driverâs licence

• White Card
