About the Position

WorkPac are currently seeking an experienced Process Engineer with experience in Fixed Plant to join our client Rio Tinto in Greater Brockman Region for an initial 3 month contract, commencing as soon as possible. The ideal candidate will have experience in Fixed Plant Operations and Maintenance and experience within a mining and resources environment.

Duties will include:

• Performing plant troubleshooting, optimisation and continuous improvement

• Validate downtime data in accordance with the RTIO Time Models

• Reporting of plant performance through daily, weekly and monthly reporting formats

• Ensure plant capacity is fully optimised and production targets are met

• Investigate deviations from the plan - including identifying and recommending solutions

• Provide technical support and advice to Fixed Plant Operations and Maintenance Crews and front line leaders

Skills and Experience:

• Process Engineering or Process Control background with university degree in Processing, Electrical or Chemical Engineering

• Ability to positively engage, collaborate and strengthen partnerships across Greater Brockman Region

• Demonstrated mine site experience in Mineral processing, preferably within Iron Ore industry

• In depth experience with analytical methods to determine throughput constraints and capacity

• In depth understanding of constraint theory in plant processing

• Advanced Excel and SQL skills

• Bachelor degree in Process or Control Engineering

• Demonstrated SQL skills and processing of historian

Desirable:

• Power Bi, SSRS or similar

• Microsoft Project and Project Management Basics
