Project Analyst - Rates And Revenue

About the Position:

WorkPac are currently seeking a Project Analyst (Rates and Revenue) Professional to work within the local council client. This position is a permanent opportunity, with the client based in the Town of Port Hedland.

This role has a attractive salary, can offer $400 weekly rental assistance, an utilities allowance, relocation assistance and 6 weeks of annual leave and 17.5% leave loading. There is also additional superannuation schemes available.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and document future state operational processes including but not limited to: rates calculation and billing, sundry billing, fee and penalty management, debtor management, property data management, collections, cash receipting and banking.

  • Ensure all processes developed comply with relevant Legislation and Policies of the Town of Port Hedland.

  • Provide direction to the data migration effort to cleanse, validate and migrate data relating to Property, Land and Debtors.

  • Working with other team members, to configure and implement all modules of the ERP solution.

  • Work closely with users to assist them to understand and adopt new business processes using the new ERP solution.

  • Work with Consultants and other Team members to deliver an initial suite of dashboards and reports.

  • Ongoing compliance with the Town's safety Management System and audit programs in line with relevant Occupational Health and Safety Act, Regulations, Codes of Practice, Health and Safety Policies and Procedures.

  • Act in accordance with the organisational values of Unity, Quality and Integrity.

  • Ensure all corporate documentation is captured into the town's record keeping system, in accordance with the organisations Records Keeping Plan.

  • Other duties and responsibilities as directed within the skill and abilities of the individual.

Skills and Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience in Rates management or accounts receivable processes.

  • Demonstrated experience in leading and delivering business process change.

  • Demonstrated ability to critically evaluate and solve problems/ present solutions.

  • Highly developed level of written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to work with a range of stakeholders.

  • Strong interest in the use of systems to support operational business processes.
