About the Client
Rio Tinto Operates the world's largest integrated portfolio of iron ore assets. About the role:
WorkPac are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing various projects within the NPI workstream, covering the entire project lifecycle from inception to close. Projects will range in size, from small-scale initiatives to approximately $20 million in value.
Key roles and responsibilities:
Oversee projects from conception to completion.
Manage project elements including cost, quality, schedule, and safety.
Coordinate project phases and deliverables.
Provide guidance to project team members.
Liaise with internal stakeholders and external contractors.
Report project progress and participate in reviews.
Ensure adherence to funding and governance standards.
Promote safety, culture, and organizational values.
Skills and experience:
Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical or Structural) OR Trade Certificate with Project Management Training
Developing cost estimates, Managing budgets
Developing and managing schedules
Technical experience in multi-disciplinary projects (structural, mechanical, electrical, controls) for mining, plant, and processing projects
Commercial experience in developing and managing contracts, assessing claims, and dispute resolution
Crane, dewatering or mining project experience highly advantageous
Excellent Communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
