Rehabilitation Field Officer

About Our Client:

Our client is a leading mining and resources client controlling a large mining tenement portfolio with the objective of developing a long-term iron ore export operation located in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a substantial resource development, where implementation of our client's project will bring change for communities and the environment local to the development.

About the Position:

WorkPac is currently seeking an experienced Rehabilitation Field Officer FIFO from Perth, on a 2:1 roster for an immediate start. Within this position, you will be responsible for the supervision and reporting of the earthworks and general rehabilitation activities centred on the rehabilitation of land disturbed by historical and current exploration activities and project feasibility studies.

Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Capture accurate field data and geospatial information associated with land disturbance and rehabilitation.

  • Assist in the data reporting from daily, weekly, and monthly reports, including incident reports and corrective actions.

  • Identify site HSE requirements, including inspection work areas and equipment for hazards and take appropriate corrective action.

  • Assist in assessment of land disturbance, including identification of remedial measures to better manage water flow and erosion, and better top-soil and stockpiled vegetation

  • Assist in the implementation of monitoring systems to measure the effectiveness of remedial measures.

  • Assist in general field environmental monitoring and management activities.

Skills and Experience:

  • 5+ year experience in a similar role associated with mineral exploration, mining, civil infrastructure, or field environment.

  • Experience in mobile plant and equipment operations

  • Earthworks supervising experience (preferred)

  • Experience in geospatial systems and field mapping systems

  • Experience in land clearing and land rehabilitation activities

  • GIS or mapping computer sills

  • Demonstrated strong commitment to safety.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Strong communication skills and leadership capabilities

  • Attention to detail.

  • First Aid qualifications

  • Valid WA Drivers Licence
