Opportunities exist for skilled and experienced Specialist Site Systems: Safety & Health Management who will form part of and contribute to the Mine Operations Department of a Bowen Basin Mine.

An absolute commitment to working safely, complying with all site safety standards and ensuring a safe and environmentally healthy workplace is essential. It is imperative that you possess the ability and aptitude to maintain high standards of safety, equipment serviceability, housekeeping and compliance with mine working procedures.

Experience working at a Qld Coal mine in a similar role would be highly regarded

The successful candidate would require

• Extensive Qld Coal mining legislation experience

• Experience maintaining and improving risk and safety management systems,

• Excellent written and verbal communication skill, with the ability to influence health, safety and training outcomes

• Demonstrated understanding of regulatory bodies, governance and risk management through risk assessments/execution and embedding change

• Strong computer skills and high level of attention to detail

• Excellent time management skills

• Strong problem solving skills

• Ability to organise and manage competing priorities

• Be a self starter
