About the Position:

WorkPac currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Site Safety Officer for a 12 month assignment based from Townsville for the next stage of a civil pipeline project. This position will hold an Monday to Friday roster with an immediate start.

Responsibilities will include:

• Prepare and present project prestart meetings in coordination with the contract supervisor.

• Understand the requirements and risk controls as outlined in the Project Risk Assessment.

• Regularly audit the mitigation controls to ensure the project is in compliance with the site safety and health management system.

• Attend all relevant internal meetings e.g. leadership, project management team, contractors and operators as required.

• Maintain adequate safety and training document control files for the duration of the project.

Skills and Experience:

• Relevant Tertiary Qualification

• Civil project experience

• Contractor safety management experience
