About the Role

WorkPac is currently recruiting for a Senior Financial Analyst position. This role entails a Monday to Friday roster, working 40 hours per week. Based in Perth, the position is for a duration of 6 months, tackling exciting challenges within the mining industry. Your responsibilities will include assisting in the setup of financial systems for joint ventures, evaluating cost management practices, providing financial input into planning processes, and supporting the establishment of data rooms for stakeholder access. Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist in setting up financial systems for new joint ventures (JVs), ensuring compliance with JV agreements. This includes designing, testing, and training key users on financial transactions within SAP or similar ERP systems.

• Evaluate existing JV cost management practices to identify areas for improvement. Implement streamlined approaches to effectively manage JV costs while ensuring auditability and compliance with agreements.

• Provide financial input into the planning process for implementing joint ventures, ensuring that financial aspects are appropriately addressed.

• Support the establishment of a data room where external stakeholders can access JV information, ensuring data security and accessibility.

Skills & Experience Required:

• Australian C Class Driver's Licence.

• Proficiency in SAP or similar ERP systems for setting up financial systems.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with various stakeholders.

• Prior experience in financial or management accounting within the mining industry or in joint venture contexts.

• Proven track record of implementing finance process improvements.

• Familiarity with external audit processes.
