About the Role:

WorkPac is currently seeking an experienced Senior Project Cost Controller based in Brisbane for an immediate start.  This position will hold a Monday to Friday roster, and will be on an ongoing contract with competitive rates available for the successful applicant.  This role will involve some domestic travel.

The primary responsibility of the Project Cost Controller is to manage and deliver effective project controls for sustaining capital projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for cost control; developing and management of estimates and budgets, raising commitments and processing invoices, ensure expenditure alignment with approved budgets, forecasting, cashflows, earned value and S-curve analysis, claim assessments, change management, project performance reporting and coordinating asset capitalisation activities with finance.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Development and management of estimates and budgets.

• Conduct regular reviews with key stakeholders to ensure integrity of estimates and forecasts.

• Development of SAP WBS, project control accounts and budgets.

• Ensure expenditure alignment with approved budgets and schedule.

• Proactively engage with stakeholders, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and service providers to ensure timely receipt of deliverables and key milestones.

• Identify schedule and cost optimisation opportunities and provide risk mitigation strategies.

• Cost control activities (budget/commitment management, invoice processing, cashflow, forecasting and reporting)

• Understand and comply with all legislative HSE requirements, and incorporate as required.

Skills and Experience:

• Relevant tertiary qualification in accounting, business, finance, engineering, construction or equivalent.

• Working knowledge of scheduling practice and software (P6)

• Competent in SAP (Business solution) or similar

• Project Management c (PMI PMP beneficial).
  Current "C" Class Driver's License and Own Transport

• Ability to pass a full Pre-Employment Medical and Drug & Alcohol Screen

• Must be either an Australian Citizen or a holder of an Australian permanent residency visa to be eligible to apply for this position
