About the Role:

WorkPac is currently seeking an experienced Planning Engineer based in Gladstone for an immediate start. This position will offer flexible work work options for the successful candidate and part time applications will be considered.

The Planning Engineer will be responsible for managing and supporting effective planning and scheduling for the Portfolio of Sustaining Capital and improvement projects.

This role will be responsible for developing and maintaining detailed schedules to evaluate, plan and manage projects. Key focus in this position will be on Portfolio resources management.

Key Accountabilities:

• Site portfolio schedule reporting within the portfolio management system

• Create, maintain, and report on the project plans and schedules

• Conduct project schedule review meetings and update schedules

• Maintains the integrity of integrated project schedules

• Supports development of monthly schedule reports, including proper analysis

• Develop and update progress and commodity curves

• Develop and update resources loading schedule

• Lead schedule development and monitoring for assigned areas

• Support compliance with standardised processes, systems, and tools

• Maintain relationships with the cost engineering and estimating groups to ensure that implications of changes are well articulated

• Liaise with Project Leaders to establish estimate and schedule compliance with cash flow forecast

• Proactively analyses and report implications of changes to plan and schedule

• Monitoring and escalating project variations and changes with leaders

Skills and Requirements:

• Tertiary qualification in Engineering or equivalent

• Post Graduate qualifications in Business are beneficial

• Project Management course (PMI PMP would be beneficial)

• High level of Excel proficiency

• Competent in Power Point

• Expert in Primavera P6 and MS Project

• Knowledge in cost control and forecasting will be beneficial
