About the Role
We are looking for a Engineer/Senior Engineer to join our Portfolio Management team within Sustaining Capital, to be responsible for leading order of the Magnitude (OOM) Studies, working with established systems and processes. Responsible for the development of Sustaining Capital Projects from Project Initiation through to Stage Gate 1. With a focus on delivering Sustaining Capital order of magnitude projects, feeding the pipeline of the projects to develop strong engagements with our key business stakeholders, from Sites through to the Delivery Teams, whilst supporting the overall end-to-end studies process.
Duties and Responsibilities
Working closely with support teams in areas such as Project Controls, Contracts & Procurement, Health & Safety to safely execute you projects to realize the benefit to our operations
Build relationships with our key stakeholders, to enable seamless flow of information, ensuring all documentation is clear, supported and adhered to.
Improving and maintaining the safety outcomes and behaviours of the project engineering and construction teams, leading by example.
Facilitate/coordinate discussions between Delivery Teams if decisions or collaboration is required to resolve required outcomes for Sustaining Capital
Strategic planning to reduce overall challenges that impact Studies for Sustaining Capital and collaborate with representatives, Capital Coordinators, Project Controls and Contracts & Procurement to provide properly scoped projects in a coordinated manner to seek Capital Efficiency throughout the delivery lifecycle
Be a part of a strong willed team of Engineers responsible for delivering a portfolio of projects from Initiation through to implementation and closure of the project
A valued partner of our site operation and maintenance teams as you build close partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to deliver focused stakeholders to deliver focused solutions
Accountable for the development of Sustaining Capital Projects from the idea phase through to Stage Gate 1
Oversee the vendor allocation of project engineering resources, to deliver the OOM report
Reporting and provide regular updates to the Studies Superintendent, Portfolio Management.
Skills and Experience
A degree in Engineering, Electrical, Mechanical or Civil Engineering
A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
Experienced in leading teams and previous Rio Tinto Management Experience
Strategic thinker with a proven history of process and improvement abilities
Highly effective communication skills
The ability to harness influential leadership with proven stakeholder management experience
Proficiency with Microsoft 365 ? MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Knowledge of Power BI Preferred
Working Knowledge of Archer, CPMS, Sustaining Capital Framework and ALIM drawing system, would be an advantage.
