The Role
Prepare and assemble mechanical equipment to standards within a given time period. Following the direction of Production supervisor to complete standard and project specific assembly requirements.
About the Client
Our client has been in the marine systems and infrastructure solution space for over 40 years. They specialise in conceptual design to after sales care to ensure that their customers marine infrastructure systems are effective and efficient.
Key Responsibilities
Building Docking and mooring equipment with a high standard of workmanship
Read production orders and follow production drawings and sample assemblies.
Identifying fasteners inline with following manufacturing documents
Working effectively in a team environment, leading and engaging others when needed.
Competency to safely use of hand and power tools.
Good knowledge of materials, tolerances and fitting practices.
Assisting production supervisor when instructed.
Build competency in working with hazardous area certified equipment.
Ensure that efficiency and productivity are maintained and where possible improved.
Identify potential hazards and reporting to supervisor.
Packing and unpacking materials
Requirements
Possess good mechanical knowledge
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in using inventory management software and computer applications.
Using hand/power tools
