About the Role
DSL Port Hedland, in partnership with WorkPac an seeking a multi skilled/all round operator Trainer Assessor to join the Production team. As a key member of a high performing team, the successful candidate will support leaders to identify, deliver and monitor team training requirements in accordance with the Learning Management Framework (LMF); enabling the learner to meet the competency requirements of their role. Residential Family friendly 5:2 4:3 (flexible rosters) Day Shift OR FIFO for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintaining current competencies relevant to the area of training delivery and assessment.
Undertaking the following in accordance with Learning Management Framework (LMF) procedures:
Ensure a safe training and assessment environment
Deliver on job training and conduct assessment using authorised documentation; acknowledging practical, cultural and language literacy and numeracy (LLN) considerations and showing empathy when needed
Complete and submit required documentation
Identify training requirements through reporting, observations etc.
Participate in continuous improvement of training materials and resources as required.
Providing support for learners and OJTs including workplace coaching and mentoring
Providing feedback to Operational Lead and Regional L&D Teams on progress of training and assessment activities.
Qualifications and skills required:
Manual C Class Australian issued Drivers Licence (minimum)
Certificate IV Workplace Training and Assessment
Demonstrable track record in delivering training and assessment in the safe and efficient operation of mining or civil equipment
Previous mobile plant equipment experience in an a civil or mining environment operating:
Haul Trucks,,
Loaders,
Dozers,
Graders,
Water Carts, and
4X4 Light Vehicles.
Intermediate office Microsoft and SAP experience highly regarded
