About the Company

An Australian exploration and mining company operating for almost ten years. Metro's flagship project, the Bauxite Hills Mine, located 95km north of Weipa, is one of the largest independent projects within the internationally acclaimed Weipa Bauxite Region. Having recently obtained the project, they are currently seeking an experienced Tyre Fitter / Servicemen for an ongoing position.

What you will be doing

You will be required to work 12 hour shifts on a 2/1 roster day / night where you will be responsible for maintaining all aspects of tyre maintenance on a mine site, including tyre changing and checking tread depths, you will be working with an on-line tyre monitoring system while maintaining the records from your tyre maintenance duties. In return, you will have meals and accommodation provided and a generous hourly flat rate.

What you will need

• Must have a current Standard 11

• Cert 2 in heavy tyre fitting or equivalent

• Demonstrated experience as a tyre fitter

• Be able to pass a pre employment medical

• Able to commit to ongoing work

• Demonstrated solid work ethic
