About the Role

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Underground Shotfirer to join our team in Cobar & Orange.

 

What you will be doing:

 

• Assist in providing a quality technical Shot firing service to our customer in a safe and environmentally conscious manner.

• Working closely with Blast Operators on site, managing all tasks associated with the loading, tying and firing of blasts.

• Assisting with the training and mentoring of new team members;

• Shot firing duties including magazine management, managing the loading, tying and firing of blasts, following drill and blast designs;

• Willing to work 7/7 roster or 14/14 roster, 12 hour shifts, Day shift only.

 

What you need:

 

• Current UHL (Explosive licence)

• RTW documents

• 2 Current work place references

• Current Drivers licence

• A current NSW or equivalent Shot firing licence;

• 2-3 yearsâ experience working as a Shotfirer within mining, infrastructure or quarrying;

• 10k shotfirers allowance and 6k DIDO allowance. Potential for 5% bonus end of calendar year

• FIFO/DIDO with travel, accommodation and all meals are provided.
