WorkPac has been nominated for the award for their continued commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility

At this year’s Recruitment, Consulting and Staffing Association Australia & New Zealand (RCSA) Industry Awards, representatives from Australia’s largest privately-owned recruitment company WorkPac, will be proudly attending as finalists for the ‘Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Excellence’ award.

The award is granted to businesses in the recruitment and staffing sector that have demonstrated ongoing commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility, not just financially, but through the integration of social, ethical, environmental and philanthropic values throughout the business.

WorkPac’s Managing Director, Mr. Praanesh Prasad says these values were most clearly demonstrated by last year’s Leadership Conference in Cambodia, attended by high achievers within the business.

“While the Leadership Conference is a great way to reward some of our best employees, it also provides us with a fantastic opportunity to give back”.

“Last years conference was held in Cambodia and whilst there, the 117 attendees worked together to build seven houses for impoverished families”.

“The experience was incredibly rewarding and humbling for all those who attended and acts as a strong reminder of WorkPac’s commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility” he said.

While the conference was a way for the company to make a big impact, Mr. Prasad knows that it is the small contributions made every day that are truly representative of WorkPac’s core values.

“While we are extremely proud of what we achieved at last year’s Leadership Conference, WorkPac are committed to creating a culture across the entire business that encourages continued social responsibility in the communities we operate in”.

“Over 80% of our Business activities are in regional and rural Australia and we always strive to make a positive impact to those areas”.

“This is achieved through our employees integrating themselves with towns and the locals, providing job opportunities for those in regional areas and affording sponsorships and financial contributions to local programs and businesses” he said.

Winners for all the award categories will be announced at the RCSA Australian Industry Awards Night on June 14th.
