About the Role:

WorkPac are currently seeking a Senior Renewals Advisor based in Perth to commence work as soon as possible. This position offers a Monday to Friday roster with adhoc site travel. Reporting to the Principal Renewals Development, this role involves leading the pre-feasibility and feasibility development phases of a heavy haul track renewal program, including ballast cleaning, turnout, level crossing, bridge track and plain line asset renewals.

Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Management of consultants and internal stakeholders to produce a set of approved technical and project deliverables for handover to an execution team within agreed timeframes.

  • Development of budget estimates for renewal studies, followed by management, approval and forecasting of consultant and contractor spend within the study phases.

  • Long term planning and forecasting of renewal project business interruptions (track access) and capital spend, in consultation with the Senior Advisor Asset Planning.

  • Working alongside technical track engineering roles to develop and support business cases and justifications for track renewal projects.

  • Coordination and prioritisation of design and technical support during renewal execution phases

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Experience in the railway industry, with relevance to project delivery of track renewal and/or track construction projects. Preference for heavy haul railway experience, however this is not essential.

  • Experience managing consultants, design deliverables and dynamic changes to work priority

  • Some experience working for a railway operator is preferred, however relevant contractor and consultant backgrounds are also advantageous

  • C class drivers licence
